Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor. She is most famous for her character Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC show Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She was Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in Love with Acting in Preparatory before her Family moved to Ohio. She did theatre studies at Northwestern University, and spent one semester at British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career in Chicago and worked in theater parts for a number of years. Then she moved to Hollywood, where she began her acting career in movies and television shows. In 1992, Anna was offered her first big character as Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. Anna continued appearing in films and TV series such as Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late the 1990's. Anna was later cast in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood during two complete seasons. Skyler was the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. She also starred in the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn played a role in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. The actress, in 2022, also appeared in a series of audio play podcast called Numbered Days. The love story between Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the plot of Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and the eventual end of their relationship mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final years of life.
