Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a British and American sitarist. She also sings. She is also the very first and youngest female to receive an award from the British House of Commons Award. Anoushka Shankar is a rising star on sitar music. Indian sitar. She is the daughter and pupil of Ravi Shankar. She spent her childhood bouncing around from London to New Delhi. At New Delhi, she made her debut at just thirteen years old. Later she moved in Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Even though she's very young Anouskha has an impressive performing and recording record. She regularly performs with her dad and has performed with him for quite a number of years. She released her first self-titled album Anourag in 1998. It was followed by Live at Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album two years following. Alongside performing at every major venue, she also is a stage performer for a lengthy time. Anoushka Shakar's career isn't only limited to music.
